Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 7, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Korea Work Expert (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit koreaworkexpert.com (the “Site”).

1. Who we are

The Site is operated by Korea Work Expert. It publishes English-language information about working, visas and daily life in Korea for foreign residents and job seekers. For any privacy question, contact us at koreaworkexpert@gmail.com.

2. Information we collect

  • Information you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the content of your message.
  • Usage and device data. When you browse the Site, our analytics and hosting services automatically collect data such as pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location (country or city level), browser and device type, and IP address.
  • Comments. If commenting is enabled and you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and content you submit, plus your IP address and browser user agent for spam prevention.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, passport numbers, alien registration numbers, visa application files or other identity documents.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working, to measure how it is used and, where enabled, to show advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features may not work as intended if you do.

4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (including through Google Site Kit for WordPress) to understand how visitors use the Site, for example which articles are read and how visitors arrive. Google processes this data under its own policies. Learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

5. Advertising

We use or may use Google AdSense to display advertising.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
  • You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Where required by law, including for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we ask for your consent before personalized advertising cookies are used, through a consent message shown on the Site.

6. Affiliate links

Some articles may contain affiliate links. If you click one and later buy a product or service, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The affiliate partner may use cookies to record that the visit came from our Site. Affiliate relationships do not change our editorial assessments, and articles that contain affiliate links say so.

7. How we use information

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Site (such as hosting, analytics and advertising providers), when required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of users.

9. Retention

Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of our analytics account. Emails are kept only as long as needed to respond and keep a reasonable record of the correspondence, then deleted.

10. International transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States and the Republic of Korea. These providers apply their own safeguards for international transfers.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent.
