E-7 from Nepal · Current status
If you searched for an “E7 visa in Korea from Nepal,” you may have seen posts saying that the E-7 route has “opened.” There is an important difference to understand: the Embassy of Nepal in Seoul has started demand attestation. That does not mean there is already a public job opening, a fixed worker quota, or a way for every individual to apply today.
The Embassy’s notice page lists the E-7 demand-attestation notice dated August 13, 2026, and the third-amendment procedure notice dated August 12. This page explains what those public notices confirm today. It does not name a recruiting agency, fee, quota, deadline, or visa result because those have not been confirmed here as a general public opening.
What is open right now?
Confirmed: Korean employers, or people properly representing them, can begin the process of having a demand for skilled Nepali workers attested under the E-7 route.
Still not announced as a general public opening: one nationwide recruitment date, a fixed quota, a list of people who can apply immediately, or one agency approved for all applicants.
For you as a job seeker, the meaningful next step is a real job from an identifiable Korean employer — not simply a social-media post saying that the route has opened.
Why you may not see a recruitment date yet
Demand attestation begins on the employer’s side. A Korean employer first needs a real role, clear employment terms and supporting documents. The employer or an authorised representative can then use the official process for that demand. A worker-selection process can only follow when there is a genuine, documented job need.
That is why the answer to “When can I apply?” may be different for each employer and occupation. Be careful with anyone who gives you a guessed nationwide date.
What a real opportunity should include
A named Korean employer
You should be able to identify the employer, the role and the work location. A vague promise to “arrange E-7” is not enough.
Actual duties and terms
The job description, contract terms and offered work must be clear enough to check against the relevant E-7 route.
A traceable official process
Ask which official demand-attestation and visa route will be used. Keep written records; do not rely on a verbal claim alone.
Separate checks for Korea
A Nepal sending-side step does not replace Korea’s E-7 occupation, applicant, employer and visa requirements.
What can an agency do?
An agency may be part of the process only when it has the right authority for that case. Its involvement does not make an unverified vacancy official, and it cannot guarantee a visa. Before you pay or sign anything, check the employer, job, contract, official route and the agency’s authority with the relevant official body.
How this relates to Korea’s E-7 rules
The Nepal process is only one side of the journey. The Korean side still requires the offered work, the applicant, the employment conditions and the employer to fit the relevant E-7 rules. A job title, a recruiter’s promise or a demand-attestation announcement does not automatically establish eligibility.
- Compare the actual role with the current E-7 occupation guide.
- Check the applicant route in the E-7 eligibility guide.
- Use the E-7 application guide and document checklist for the Korean filing route.
- For variable costs or processing stages, consult the maintained processing-time and fee guide and the official authority handling your case.

| Question | What to do now |
|---|---|
| Has a general E-7 demand-attestation process started? | Yes — see the Embassy notice. This is the confirmed status. |
| Is there one announced national recruitment date or quota? | Do not assume so. Check a fresh official recruitment notice for a specific opening. |
| Can any agent now send any worker to Korea under E-7? | No such blanket conclusion follows from the notice. Verify the agency, employer and job for the individual case. |
| Does an E-7 opportunity bypass Korean visa rules? | No. The Korean employer, role and applicant must still meet the applicable requirements. |
When this page will be updated
We will update this page if an official source publishes a verified job opening, quota, deadline, eligible-occupation list, fee rule, or a suspension or cancellation. Until then, treat a promise of immediate placement as something to check — not proof that recruitment is open.
