“Your road to residency just got wider. The 2026 K-point E74 quota is set at 35,000!”
The Ministry of Justice has officially released the 2026 Selection Plan for Skilled Worker (K-point E74) visas. This year’s plan brings more opportunities for dedicated foreign workers (E-9, E-10, H-2) to secure long-term stay in South Korea.
📌 Key Highlights for 2026
- Massive Quota: A total of 35,000 skilled workers will be selected throughout the year.
- Minimum Points: Applicants generally need at least 200 points to be eligible, or 170 points if they have a professional recommendation.
- Income Requirement: You must have an average annual income of at least 26 million KRW over the last two years.
- 100% Online Application: No more visiting the office! All applications must be submitted via the HiKorea e-application portal.
⚠️ Important Changes to Note
The 2026 manual emphasizes strict disqualification rules. Even with high points, your application can be rejected if you have unpaid taxes, a criminal record, or a history of illegal stay exceeding 3 months.
